Description: Legislative insider, Jeffrey Austin of the Maine Hospital Association, will provide a review of the legislative and citizen initiative processes in Maine, breakdown the activity of the Legislative and Executive branches during the 131st Session, and will highlight laws – both passed and not – relevant to the work of healthcare risk management professionals in Maine. The program will also include direction on when and how risk management professionals, individually or as a professional organization may engage with the legislative process.
